This is a short book made up of 31 short studies which lend themselves well to a month’s reading. I have found them both effective and challenging in learning about spiritual warfare. And each study is an absolute goldmine. But it’s not for the faint hearted. Every study penetrates and convicts. But don’t take my word for it.
This is what Alan Redpath says in his foreword about the author:
‘…..we had many opportunities for fellowship and friendship. Because of this my love for the man grew and my appreciation of his spiritual depth and strength increased, for I knew the experiences through which he had passed in China and saw the impact they had made on his life……’
In his preface, Arthur Mathews writes:
‘My burden relates to the flood of evil that the devil is pouring into the world and, at the same time, the passivity of many of God’s saints as they view this state of affairs and their ignorance of the part God expects them to play in His warfare against Satan. Because the devil knows his time is running out, he is concentrating all he has got in a desperate last-ditch attempt to defeat the purposes of God….
I have not kept a record of all the sources from which I have borrowed bricks to build up my own house of faith. Nebuchadnezzar stamped all his bricks with his name, but all my bricks, from whatever source they have come, carry the impress of the Holy Spirit, otherwise they would have been discarded long ago.’
